Dr. Peter Piot, Executive Director of UNAIDS will visit Addis Ababa from March 29 to 2nd of April 2008 to partake in the 41st Session of ECA's Joint Meeting of AU and ECA Ministers of Finance to be organized at the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) Hall.

Dr. Peter is expected to speak on “Long Term and Sustainable Financing Opportunity in Africa.” In a panel discussion to organized at the conference also Dr Peter shall specifically will make deliberations on, “Long Term Financing for HIV Intervention as We Move Towards Universal Access for Prevention, Treatment, Care & Support by 2010”.

As part of his visit to Addis, Dr. Peter will hold a discussion with members of Civil Society in Ethiopia at the CRDA on 1st of April 2008 from 8:30am to – 9:30 a.m. The civil society members to meet the director include youth groups, business coalition, media, NGO forums and others. The discussion with civil society group is facilitated by the HIV/AIDS Forum of CRDA under the auspices of the National Partnership Forum.
