Amharic Bible in Braille Was Inaugurated |

Adaptive Technology Center for the Blind, a new CRDA member, in collaboration with
Ethiopian Bible Societies launched Amharic Bible in Braille for the blind for the first time.
On the inauguration ceremony held at Addis Ababa Assembly Hall on April 4, 2008, Adaptive Technology
Center for the Blind and the Ethiopian Bible Societies are appreciated by heads of religious institutions
and other stockholders for their relentless effort to pave the way for people visually impaired to know
the words of God and other information in accordance with the existing realties of them.
The Bible Braille which contains both the Old and the New Testament is being special by its kinds and its
qualities.
On the occasion, audio copy of New Testament in Oromiffa Language was also inaugurated.
By his representative, Girma W/Giorgies, President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, convey
his appreciation to the Ethiopian Bible Societies and the Adoptive Technology Center for the Blind for
their contribution to make the information available for people who are unable to see.
Adaptive Technology Center for the Blind was registered as a member of CRDA in March, in an Extraordinary
Memberships Meeting held at CRDA head office.
