Programmatic Institutional Support Department (PISD) in Christian Relief and Development Association (CRDA) organized a workshop on April 7, 2008, entitled ‘Partciaptory Development and Leadership’ with the objective to strengthen leaders’ commitment on social justices.

The workshop has the aim to highlight on good governance as the basis for leading participatory development. Besides, it has enabled participants to develop practical competencies, facilitate learning at the organizational and community level.

It has believed that participants are expected to be aware of the role of leaders in the implementation of people centered development programs, promoting innovative practices, browsing new contemporary issues and trends in development by renowned experts.

In a day long workshop, about 30 participants from interested CRDA members were participated.

The workshop is one of the tailored training that the department has planned to provide in 2008 budget year for its members as part of CRDA’s capacity building programs.

In 2008, CRDA - PISD has planned to organize nearly 20 trainings, workshops and conference on different issue which are very crucial for its members as well as for the others who are working on developments endeavors.
