President and Chief Executive Officer of The Hunger Project, Asa Skogstrom Feldt, said The Hunger Project would like to strengthen its partnership with CCRDA. The president visited CCRDA on Monday, November 10, 2014. While discussing with the directors of the different core teams of CCRDA, Feldt said, The Hunger Project would like to prepare project proposals together with CCRDA. She also appreciated the key role CCRDA is playing as a consortium of hundreds of CSOs.
Asa Skogstrom Feldt was accompanied by the Africa Programs Vice President The Hunger Project, Dr Idrissa O. Dicko and Country Director of The Hunger Project-Ethiopia Niguest Mekonnen.
Representing CCRDA Executive Director, Yoseph Girma, expressed CCRDAĺs readiness to work together with the hunger project. Directors of the different core teams of CCRDA briefed the president about the activities that are being carried out by their respective core teams.
The Hunger Project is a global, non-profit, strategic organization committed to the sustainable end of world hunger. It has a 30-year track record of mobilizing people living in abject poverty along the path to economic self-reliance. The Hunger Project-Ethiopia has been working in Ethiopia since 2004, and empowers partners in six epicenter communities found in six woredas, including Jeldu, Debere Libanos, Meskan, Enemore, Machakel and Wurib, of Oromia, SNNPR and Amhara Regional States benefitting around 96,000 people.
